Turkmenistan Approves National Program for Alcohol Harm Prevention

At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via digital system on July 18, Vice Premier Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the ongoing preparations for the Turkmen-Japanese Business Forum.

As reported by Nokerguly Atagulyyev, necessary measures are currently being taken to ensure the high-quality organization of the forum. Japanese companies specializing in investment, services, education, the oil and gas and industrial sectors, medical equipment production, construction, and logistics have expressed strong interest in participating.

On the Turkmen side, the forum will include representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as ministries and sectoral departments. Turkmenistan to Host Turkmen-Japanese Business Forum

On July 18, 2025, a briefing on preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The briefing was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the briefing, it was noted that this large-scale event is intended to become an effective platform for promoting international cooperation for sustainable development.

On July 18, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on concrete steps being taken to strengthen cooperation with reputable international organizations. In this context, the Vice Premier submitted to the Head of State a proposal for Turkmenistan to join several documents of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in particular, the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters and the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information. Atadurdy Bayramov has become the first Ambassador of Turkmenistan to receive accreditation in New Zealand. Turkmenistan and Belarus Discuss Coordination of International Events

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of the cultural program of his official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the cities of Fuzuli and Shusha, where he familiarized himself with the restoration and development projects of these historic settlements.

On July 16, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić-Radman. On July 15, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the People&#39;s Republic of China P. Durdyev held a meeting with the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AIIB Jin Liqun.

At the beginning of the meeting, Jin Liqun shared the bank&#39;s experience of interaction with Turkmenistan and expressed interest in further expanding cooperation. The head of the bank announced his intention to take part in the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone from August 4 to 8, 2025. He also said that the AIIB plans to organize its exhibition pavilion at this event.

During the meeting, which was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, the parties discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation. The Turkmen side also presented information on the country&#39;s current foreign policy and its international activities.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed gratitude for the meaningful and constructive exchange of views. The Turkmen delegation presented the AIIB President and the bank&#39;s library with a book of selected poems by the great Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi, translated into Chinese.

Turkmen Ambassador held a meeting with the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

On July 15, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hai Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli.

The parties discussed key aspects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE. An exchange of views also took place on issues related to preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3).

In order to further strengthen the bilateral partnership, the parties considered issues of joint organization of upcoming events and ensuring the active participation of delegations from the two countries.

Meeting with UAE Ambassador held at MFA of Turkmenistan

On July 15, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, Olivier Nduhungirehe.

During the conversation, the sides discussed key areas of bilateral relations and issues related to the preparation for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).

The Foreign ministers considered the establishment of diplomatic relations on July 14, 2025, as a foundation for strengthening mutual trust and developing bilateral cooperation.

Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Rwanda held a telephone conversation

On July 14, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and Charg&eacute; d&#39;Affaires of the Embassy of the People&#39;s Republic of China in Turkmenistan Zhong Hua.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, and exchanged views on preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3).

In this context, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan invited representatives of the Chinese delegation to participate in the Women Leaders Meeting within the framework of LLDC 3.
