Academic studies have commenced at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University under a new Master’s degree program in the field of 5.37.04.33 «Economics and Management of the Oil and Gas Industry», developed in accordance with the modern requirements of the oil and gas sector.The new Master’s program is one of the practical outcomes of the higher education institution's participation in international educational projects under the European Union’s Erasmus+ program.The first group of Master's students is studying under specialization 5.37.04.33-01 «Economics and Management of the Oil and Gas Industry (ESG Strategies)», developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ ESGCA project — «Bridging Environmental Concerns, Societal Needs and Good Governance in Central Asian Education and Employment Sectors». This specialization aims to train professionals with up-to-date knowledge and competencies in the environmental, social, and governance aspects of oil and gas operations, environmental and social risk assessment, corporate governance, and responsible business practices.The second group of Master's students has begun training under specialization 5.37.04.33-02 «Economics and Management of the Oil and Gas Industry (Sustainable Development of the Oil and Gas Industry)», developed and implemented using the approaches and educational outcomes of the Erasmus+ GDCAU project — "Green Deal for Central Asian Universities». This specialization focuses on studying modern approaches to the long-term sustainable development of the oil and gas sector, rational use of natural resources, environmental impact reduction, energy efficiency enhancement, and the adoption of «green» economy principles.During their initial practical sessions, the Master's students became acquainted with the organization of the study process and the specifics of practical training. Special emphasis in the educational process is placed on practice-oriented learning, the development of analytical and research competencies, and the application of modern approaches to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainable development.The new Master’s program in 5.37.04.33 «Economics and Management of the Oil and Gas Industry» was introduced at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University for the 2026–2027 academic year. An important agricultural campaign—the cotton harvest—has launched in Turkmenistan. During a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on August 28, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the start date of the «white harvest» for September 9. With the blessing of Arkadagly Hero-Serdar, farmers across all provinces of Turkmenistan simultaneously began picking cotton on this day.Opening the great harvest with «white caravans» is a long-standing tradition of Turkmen cotton growers that continues into the new historical era. The final stage of the «Ýol hereketiniň ýaş gözegçileri» («Young Road Traffic Inspectors») competition, organized within the framework of the annual nationwide month «Road Safety – the Tranquility of Our Life», was held at the «Şöhle» Children's Health Center of the State concern «Türkmengaz».140 students from general education schools of Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and the velayats of the country took part in the final competitions.The main goal of the competition was the systematic cultivation of a high legal culture, the formation among the younger generation of a conscious and responsible attitude toward road safety, as well as the prevention of child road traffic injuries. The initiative is directly aimed at the practical implementation of the provisions of the Law of Turkmenistan «On Road Traffic Safety».During the competitions, schoolchildren demonstrated knowledge of the Traffic Rules, discipline, confident command of safe behavior skills as pedestrians and passengers, as well as the ability to quickly and competently navigate complex road situations.Special attention in the program was given to the exam on providing first pre-medical aid. Under the mentorship of volunteers and specialists of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, the children demonstrated a high level of training according to international standards, showing readiness for mutual assistance and prompt action in emergency situations.Having successfully coped with all the theoretical and practical tests, the participants of the competition confirmed a high level of knowledge. In order to carry out this important campaign in a high-quality and timely manner, the necessary measures are being taken to deploy agricultural machinery at full capacity, as well as to provide producers with high-quality seeds.Along with this, care for winter food crops is being carried out in the velayats.
