An oil production plan of a State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&raquo; has been fulfilled at a level of 107.6 percent. This was stated in a report of a Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via a digital system on June 5th. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the work carried out in the country over the first five months of the current year. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Guvanch Agajanov reported on the results of the work done in the country between January and May 2026 to increase oil and gas production and to expand their supply routes to the global market.

According to the report, during the designated period, the oil refining plan at oil refineries was fulfilled by 104.6 percent.

The production plan for gasoline was fulfilled by 110 percent, diesel fuel by 110.4 percent, lubricating oils by 124.1 percent, and liquefied gas by 111.4 percent.

The production plan for natural and associated gas was fulfilled by 106.6 percent.

Summarizing the report, a President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of maintaining the pace of work to increase natural gas and oil production, as well as the widespread introduction of modern technologies into the activities of the fuel and energy complex. At the same time, the Head of State emphasized the need to focus heavily on measures to bring production facilities to full capacity and ensure their uninterrupted functioning.

The Vice-Prime Minister was also instructed to increase the efficiency of geological exploration and drilling operations.

On June 5th, a President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a Cabinet of Ministers meeting via a digital system to review the outcomes of the work carried out in the country over the first five months of the current year.

The first floor was given to a Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova, who reported on the results of the national parliament&#39;s activities between January and May.

According to the report, 6 Laws of Turkmenistan and 10 Resolutions of the Mejlis were adopted during the past five months.

At the same time, appropriate amendments and additions were made to a number of existing laws during the period under review. The amendments to the regulatory legal acts focus on protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, ensuring the industrial safety of production facilities, improving accounting and financial reporting, and licensing certain types of activities. The changes and additions are also aimed at increasing the efficiency of highway operations and road activities, environmental and aquatic biological resources protection, and migration policy.

During the designated period, Letters of Credence were presented by the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad, the Republic of Indonesia, the Argentine Republic, and the Arab Republic of Egypt to Turkmenistan.

In addition, 13 meetings were held with representatives of parliaments of foreign states and foreign missions in Turkmenistan, during which issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. Deputies and specialists of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan participated in 51 seminars organized by international organizations jointly with relevant ministries and departments of our country. To study international practices, 13 official trips abroad were made by domestic parliamentarians.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing activities aimed at strengthening and improving the country&#39;s legislative framework.

Next, the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan reported on the results of activities in the sectors under their supervision for January&ndash;May of this year.

The Head of State listened to the reports, giving the Deputy Prime Ministers a number of instructions and directives for the further improvement and development of economic sectors.

Addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Arkadagly Hero-Serdar noted with satisfaction the successful implementation of the country&#39;s development programs, the effective realization of reforms in all sectors of the economy, and the consistent modernization of production sectors.

As the Head of State noted, the GDP growth rate remains stable, standing at 6.3 percent during the specified period.

The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan plans to launch pilot projects with international partners to apply an Artificial Intelligence (AI) for forecasting in the oil and gas sector.

This was announced by Hajymyrat Hudaygulyyev, the Minister of Communications of Turkmenistan, during his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026).

According to the Minister, AI will also be utilized in managing transport and transit corridors, as well as optimizing water resources in agriculture.

Furthermore, an AI Competence Center is set to be established under a &laquo;T&uuml;rkmentelekom&raquo; Telecommunications Company of the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan. The center will focus on conducting research and training highly qualified specialists&mdash;essentially supporting the nation&#39;s digital priorities.

The Minister of Communications Hajymyrat Hudaygulyyev emphasized that over the past three years, the capacity of international internet channels in the country has increased tenfold. This forms the foundation for the development of digital services, e-commerce, and cross-border data exchange. According to him, Turkmenistan views artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, and cybersecurity as key drivers of economic growth. The country is already implementing AI solutions in education, healthcare, agriculture, and transportation.

Turkmenistan integrates an Artificial Intelligence into the oil and gas sector

The Arkadagly Hero-Serdar noted that the primary goal of the state ecological policy is to create favorable living conditions for our people, ensure the rational use of natural resources, preserve and enrich flora and fauna, foster a careful attitude toward our distinctive, unique, and beautiful nature, and preserve it for future generations in an even more flourishing state.

As the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, the annual nationwide tree-planting campaigns contribute enormously to transforming our native Fatherland into a blossoming garden and increase the people&#39;s pride in our rich nature. As a result of these efforts aimed at achieving great goals, the boundaries of forest zones are steadily expanding around our beautiful capital of Ashgabat, the new city of Arkadag&mdash;which has been awarded the status of a &laquo;Smart Green City&raquo; &mdash; as well as across the velayats. According to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, cooperation with international organizations plays a major role in maintaining global sustainable development and ecological well-being. In particular, we initiated the creation of the Regional Center for Combating Desertification for Central Asian countries&raquo;, the Arkadagly-Hero Serdar wrote in his letter, adding that at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the country proposed the establishment of the Regional Center for Technologies Related to Climate Change in Central Asia.

On June 4th, the ninth meeting of an Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. The meeting was attended by heads of relevant ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan, as well as a representative delegation that arrived in our country led by a Vice President of the Republic of T&uuml;rki&yacute;e, Cevdet Yılmaz.

During the meeting, it was noted that thanks to the efforts of the heads of the two states, Turkmen-Turkish partnership relations, based on the principles of friendship, brotherhood, and mutual understanding, are developing consistently.

Currently, interstate cooperation is being successfully implemented in such areas as trade and economy, investment, banking, energy, transport and logistics, industry, technology, science and education, healthcare, culture, tourism, environmental protection, urban planning, agriculture, and sports. Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiýe agree to elevate trade and economic partnership to a new level

On June 4th, a President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, chaired a regular meeting of the State Security Council. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the work performed by the country&#39;s military and law enforcement agencies during the first five months of the current year. It also addressed a number of issues related to ensuring peace and security in our independent Fatherland, strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies, and further improving their operations.

The first to speak was a Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense, Begench Gundogdyyev. He reported on the work carried out in January&ndash;May of this year to successfully implement the tasks outlined in the Development Program of the Armed Forces, as well as on measures taken to further improve the social and living conditions of military personnel and introduce advanced technologies into subordinate structures. Additionally, he reported on the progress of discharging conscripted military personnel into the reserve and the regular conscription of citizens for military service.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing targeted efforts to further strengthen the defense capabilities of the country&#39;s Armed Forces and enhance the training level of military personnel. The Head of State also instructed to maintain constant attention on military discipline within the National Army units, raising young soldiers in the spirit of patriotism, creating conditions for the effective service of military personnel, and improving their social and living conditions.

Following this, the heads of the country&#39;s military and law enforcement agencies presented reports on the work carried out by their respective subordinate structures from January to May of the current year.

As stated in the reports, measures were taken to reinforce the material and technical base of Turkmenistan&#39;s military and law enforcement agencies, integrate digital systems into their operations, and elevate the professional standards of the personnel.

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard the reports and issued a number of instructions and directives to the relevant heads. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also signed a relevant document &laquo;On the appointment and dismissal of judges of the courts of Turkmenistan, and the conferral of qualification classes upon them&raquo;.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, the Head of State emphasized that, in accordance with the defensive Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan, consistent measures are being taken to ensure the security and integrity of the independent, neutral Fatherland at the proper level, to strengthen its defense capability, and to significantly improve the standard of living and well-being of the defenders of the Motherland and their families. An Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan hosted a meeting with a Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs of Pakistan, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.

The interlocutors exchanged views on topical issues of regional stability and discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in various fields of mutual interest.

On June 3rd, a Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with Eric Stewart, an Executive Director of the Turkmenistan&ndash;US Business Council. Mr. Stewart arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit at the head of a representative delegation of American companies.

The parties discussed the activities of the Turkmenistan&ndash;USA Business Council as an effective platform for strengthening business contacts and expanding cooperation between government and private sector representatives of the two countries.

In this context, the parties noted the productive outcomes of a roundtable held in Ashgabat by representatives of the Council, which was attended by representatives of around ten U.S. companies, including Climate Compass, John Deere, Westport Trading, and others. The Turkmen side at the roundtable was led by a Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev.

The Council&#39;s work contributes to strengthening interstate ties and developing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States of America.

The interlocutors confirmed their interest in further expanding partnership in key sectors of the economy, including transport and logistics, energy, oil and gas, agriculture, and others.

A President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of an international exhibition-fair &laquo;Turkmentextile Expo &mdash; 2026&raquo;, which opened in Ashgabat.

The Head of State noted that in the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, the textile industry of the Fatherland has become one of the key sectors of the national economy owing to its high growth rates. Over recent years, including the past year, large-scale work has been carried out in this direction. The production capacities of textile enterprises have grown steadily, advanced innovative technologies have been widely introduced into the sector, and the range of export-oriented products of the highest quality meeting international standards has been significantly expanded.

At the same time, as the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, textile enterprises are placing primary importance on the introduction of digital systems and automated management technologies, which opens broad avenues for increasing production efficiency, careful use of resources, ensuring product quality in accordance with international requirements, and implementing full digital control of production. The use of modern equipment, high-performance technologies, and digital solutions at plants and factories gives a powerful impetus to increasing labor productivity, creating new jobs, and driving innovative growth of the national economy.

Arkadagly Hero-Serdar drew attention to the fact that Turkmenistan&#39;s environmentally friendly textile products have gained recognition on international markets owing to their high quality, production from natural raw materials, and competitiveness.

On June 3rd, World Bicycle Day was widely celebrated in Turkmenistan. A President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the mass cycling race organized in Ashgabat on the occasion of the international holiday, which added to the significance of the sports and wellness event.

The mass cycling race started at the &laquo;Bicycle&raquo; monument, located at the intersection of Chandybil avenue and Bekreve street.

A Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the Government, heads of ministries and sectoral agencies, the capital&#39;s administration, public organizations, mass media outlets, and rectors of higher educational institutions gathered at the starting point. Among the participants were also heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country. Those present included pupils of the &laquo;D&ouml;wletliler k&ouml;şgi&raquo; Palace, students of the School for Young Olympians and general education schools, members of the national cycling team, students, and members of the public.

The Head of State gave the start to the mass cycling race, and the column of participants began moving along the route passing through the capital&#39;s Chandybil and Bitarap Turkmenistan avenues.

On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, bicycles were presented in the name of the Hero-Arkadag and the Charity Fund to pupils of the &laquo;D&ouml;wletliler k&ouml;şgi&raquo; Palace currently resting at the &laquo;&Ccedil;ynar&raquo; children&#39;s center in G&ouml;kdere. This was yet another testament to the state-level care for the comprehensive development of the younger generation, including by providing opportunities for their active participation in mass physical fitness, wellness, and sports activities.

The pupils of the &laquo;D&ouml;wletliler k&ouml;şgi&raquo; Palace, riding bicycles gifted in the name of the Hero-Arkadag and following the example of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, enthusiastically took part in the cycling race.

The column of participants, led by the Head of State, continued moving along the wide avenues of Ashgabat. The picturesque landscape of the Kopetdag foothills and the magnificent panorama of the white-marble Turkmen capital were uplifting and invigorating.

Having covered the cycling distance, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov finished at the final destination &mdash; the capital&#39;s Ruhyyet Palace.

There, participants in the sports and ecological event highlighted the significance of the UN General Assembly Resolution, adopted on Turkmenistan&#39;s initiative, declaring June 3rd as World Bicycle Day, and took the opportunity to warmly congratulate the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on this annually celebrated landmark date.

Having congratulated the participants of the mass cycling race on the international sports holiday, the Head of State warmly bid farewell to all, wishing them health and success.

At an exchange trading held at a State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan on June 3rd, deals were concluded on an external market for the purchase of products from a State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&raquo;.

Representatives of business circles from Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) concluded deals with the State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&raquo; for the purchase of aviation kerosene &laquo;TS-1&raquo;.

On the external market, entrepreneurs from Turkey and Afghanistan concluded deals with the State Concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmenhimi&yacute;a&raquo; for the purchase of motor gasoline grade &laquo;ECO-93&raquo;.

At the exchange trading held at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan on June 3rd, first-grade wheat flour was sold on the domestic market.

During the trading session, 9 deals were concluded for a total amount of 51,430,000 manats and 25,137,750 US dollars.

A Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University organized a creative competition among students of technical higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan called &laquo;International glory of Turkmen Horses&raquo;. The competition was dedicated to the glorious 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s Independence and the declaration of 2026 as the Year of &laquo;Independent permanent Neutral Turkmenistan &mdash; the homeland of purposeful winged horses&raquo;.

According to the competition&#39;s terms, participants were required to write an essay in English describing how Akhal-Teke horses are celebrated in the works of the Hero-Arkadag. Based on the competition results, first place was awarded to Aybolek Ashirova, a student of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute; second place was shared by Sanjar Taganov, a student of the International Horse Breeding Academy named after Aba Annayev, and Mahmut Gurbanov, a student of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. Bayram Charyyev, also a student of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, was among the third-place winners.

The major energy event, dedicated to issues of green energy and energy security as well as the traditional oil and gas sector, has concluded its work in the capital of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the event, a bilateral meeting took place between the Deputy Chairman of the State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmengaz&raquo; Kemal Durdyyev and a Vice President of a State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov. Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan outline new horizons for oil and gas partnership at Forum in Baku

A gas-condensate separation and transportation unit has recently been constructed and put into operation at the Uzynada field in Balkan velayat. The new facility, which became a noteworthy achievement in the year marking the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s sacred Independence under the motto &laquo;Independent permanent Neutral Turkmenistan &ndash; the homeland of purposeful winged horses&raquo;, was built by the Specialized Installation Department of a &laquo;Nebitgaz&ccedil;ykaryş&raquo; Trust on behalf of a &laquo;Gumdagnebit&raquo; Oil and Gas Production Department of the &laquo;Nebitgaz&ccedil;ykaryş&raquo; Trust of a State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&raquo;.

Designed by a &laquo;Nebitgazylmytaslama&raquo; Institute of a State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&raquo;, the facility enables the separation of natural gas from the gas-condensate mixture produced at the Uzynada field, as well as from water and other mechanical impurities, through a three-stage separation process. The separated &laquo;blue fuel&raquo; is transported via a newly laid 32.3-kilometre pipeline to the Barsagelmez gas compressor station. Stabilized gas condensate is collected in storage tanks and delivered to the oil treatment and pumping station in Gumdag. The facility has a daily processing capacity of 3 million cubic metres of natural gas and 2,000 tonnes of gas-condensate mixture.

According to specialists, the commissioning of the new unit has opened up broad opportunities for supplying high-pressure gas to oil wells operating under the gas-lift method at the Barsagelmez field. In the future, plans also include connecting the gas system to ring pipelines with gas flow directed to a Korpeje gas compressor station. In addition, the construction of the new facility at the Uzynada field has significantly reduced backpressure in the pipeline system. At the same time, well productivity has increased, creating the possibility of producing an additional average of 250 tonnes of oil per day. Problems that had hindered the commissioning of newly drilled productive wells have also been successfully resolved. The construction of the new facility near promising Caspian oil and gas fields will contribute to the discovery of new associated hydrocarbon reserves and create broad economically beneficial opportunities.

It should be noted that the Uzynada field is located 78 kilometres southwest of Balkanabat, the administrative centre of Balkan velayat, and borders the shallow waters of the Caspian Sea. In 2013, additional 2D seismic surveys were conducted at the field by a State corporation &laquo;T&uuml;rkmengeologi&yacute;a&raquo; on behalf of the State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&raquo;. These studies provided updated data on the field&rsquo;s geological characteristics, total area and hydrocarbon reserves. Based on the results obtained, and thanks to the initiatives of Arkadagly Hero-Serdar, a powerful new drilling rig purchased from the People&rsquo;s Republic of China was used to drill Exploration Well No. 7 to a depth of 7,150 metres in 2017. Testing of the region&rsquo;s first super-deep well produced a daily flow of 350,000 cubic metres of natural gas and 200 tonnes of gas condensate.

&mdash; &laquo;&laquo;Gumdagnebit&raquo; Oil and Gas Production Department, operating at the Uzynada field, was established in the 1950s and is one of the oldest enterprises in the sector. In addition to Uzynada, the specialists of our enterprise work at 369 oil wells and 48 gas wells located at the Gumdag, Gu&yacute;jyk, G&ouml;gerendag, &Ouml;rdekli and Ekizak fields. Currently, the department produces approximately 2,000 tonnes of oil and around 1 million cubic metres of natural gas per day.

Before the construction of the new facility, the gas-condensate mixture produced in the region had to be transported through a pipeline over a distance of 44 kilometres to the processing unit at the &Ouml;rdekli field for separation and purification. Under such conditions, transporting the product over long distances in mixed form led to increased pressure in the pipelines, disruptions in technological processes, higher pressure in wells, reduced production volumes and a shorter service life of the pipelines. With these issues now eliminated, the productivity of our department is increasing significantly&raquo;, said Rejepmammet Niyazov, a Chief geologist of the &laquo;Gumdagnebit&raquo; Oil and Gas Production Department of the &laquo;Nebitgaz&ccedil;ykaryş&raquo; Trust of the State concern &laquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&raquo;.

Strategically Important Oil and Gas Facility Commissioned in Turkmenistan

A National Program to transform Turkmenistan into a Tobacco-Free Country for 2026&ndash;2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation have been approved in Turkmenistan. The corresponding Decree was signed by a President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on June 2.

According to the document, ministries, line agencies, and the hyakimliks (municipal administrations) of the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, are instructed to ensure the implementation of the aforementioned National Program.

The Decree was adopted in order to ensure the spiritual and physical health of the population, combat tobacco use, significantly improve the health status and well-being of citizens, increase life expectancy, and implement effective and comprehensive measures in this field.

National Program to transform Turkmenistan into a Tobacco-Free Country for 2026–2030 and Action Plan for its implementation approved

A National Forest Program for 2026&ndash;2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation have been approved in Turkmenistan. The corresponding Decree was signed by a President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on June 2.

The document was adopted in order to strengthen the legal foundations of the state policy in the field of environmental protection, determine the key lines of action to minimize the impact of climate change, and increase the resilience of ecosystems and forestry to its consequences in the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, as well as to ensure the successful implementation of the National Strategy of Turkmenistan on Climate Change.
