The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, delivered a speech at the International Forum in Ashgabat dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent Neutrality.

On December 14, Turkmenistan solemnly celebrated the Day of Oil, Gas, and Geology Workers. The forum, dedicated to the professional holiday celebrated after International Neutrality Day, began with the reading of a congratulatory message from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, addressed to the workers of independent and neutral Turkmenistan in the oil, gas, and geological sectors. The 30th International Conference and Exhibition &ldquo;Turkmenistan Oil and Gas &mdash; OGT 2025&rdquo;, held in Ashgabat on 22&ndash;24 October 2025 under the slogan &ldquo;Energy. Innovation. The great holiday of the Oil and Gas industry — the glorious day of Turkmenistan’s energy development

Our people are celebrating with festive spirit the glorious 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality, as well as International Neutrality Day, which is marked by significant achievements across the country. One of the industrial giants that contributed its labor achievements in honor of this holiday is the State Concern &ldquo;Turkmennebit.&rdquo;

This concern, one of the largest industrial and economic associations in the country, carries out extensive work in the exploration and industrial development of oil and gas fields throughout our great homeland. The activities of the concern&rsquo;s production units in the Balkan region are particularly important in implementing the objectives set forth in the &ldquo;Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Industry Development Program until 2030.&rdquo;

According to experts, among the leading enterprises, the &ldquo;Nebitgazburawlayysh&rdquo; trust of the concern stands out. Recently, the trust&rsquo;s labor collectives successfully completed drilling three wells at the Uzynada field in the Caspian coastal zone and put them into operation, which became a significant labor contribution to the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality.

Wells 72 and 86 of the &ldquo;Goturdepe&rdquo; Drilling Operations Department produce 44 and 43 tons of gas condensate per day, respectively, much to the satisfaction of the specialists. In addition, well 87 of the &ldquo;Ekerem&rdquo; Drilling Operations Department at the Uzynada field, with a design depth of 6,800 meters, produces over 45 tons of gas condensate per day. After technical and commissioning work, these productive wells were handed over to the oil workers of the &ldquo;Gumdagnebit&rdquo; Department of the &ldquo;Nebitgazchykarish&rdquo; trust.

It is noteworthy that modern ZJ70DB drilling rigs, purchased from the People&rsquo;s Republic of China at the initiative of the esteemed President, were used in the drilling process. This significantly increased the volume of extracted valuable raw materials and had a strong positive impact on the performance of the industry. The high pace of work strengthens specialists&rsquo; confidence that even greater achievements will be reached in the future.

On December 12, Turkmenistan celebrates an important holiday &ndash; the 30th anniversary of achieving permanent Neutrality, which has been recognized by the UN three times. A key event of the festive day was the ceremonial laying of flowers at the Monument of Neutrality, highlighting Turkmenistan&rsquo;s unwavering commitment to the principles of peace, humanism, and constructive development.

The ceremony was attended, alongside the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the heads of Central Asian states, leaders of Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan, as well as the President of Armenia and the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.

On December 12, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, congratulated the nation on International Neutrality Day and on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent neutrality.

&ldquo;From the very first days of independence, having chosen a foreign policy course and a national path aimed at integration into the system of international relations, Turkmenistan, on December 12, 1995, with broad support from the international community and in accordance with a historic United Nations General Assembly Resolution, acquired the legal status of permanent neutrality. This neutrality has opened new opportunities for our country, located at the crossroads of Asia and Europe in the heart of the Great Silk Road, for developing large-scale cooperation within the framework of our foreign policy strategy, proposing and implementing initiatives that fully support and unite the efforts of the international community in the areas of universal peace, security, and sustainable development.

In a short period in the modern history of our beloved homeland, glorious pages have been written, and our neutral country has become a reliable partner and a center of peacemaking. At the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, a UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia was opened in Ashgabat. Turkmenistan has repeatedly been elected Vice-Chair of the UN General Assembly and has participated in various UN bodies,&rdquo; said the Head of State.

&ldquo;In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, we firmly and consistently adhere to our international obligations and the principles of international law, realize the country&rsquo;s geopolitical and geo-economic potential for the sake of a peaceful life and constructive development, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation. Holding the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries at a high level in the National Tourist Zone &lsquo;Avaza&rsquo; and the unanimous adoption of the &lsquo;Avaza Political Declaration&rsquo; at the 18th plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, as well as the start of construction of the Serhetabat&ndash;Herat gas pipeline with the blessing of Hero Arkadag, are historic events that confirm the high international authority of our state, which pursues a policy of peace, friendship, fraternity, and cooperation, and the immense importance of our neutrality for the entire international community,&rdquo; the President noted.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent neutrality and the International Day of Neutrality, a large-scale exhibition opened on December 11 at the country&rsquo;s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Its first visitors were numerous foreign guests and representatives of international organizations who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in various events dedicated to this significant date.

At the opening ceremony of the international exhibition, a Message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out to the participants of the exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent Neutrality.

In his message, the head of state sincerely wished the large-scale exhibition great success. Large-Scale exhibition opens in Ashgabat in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality

A solemn ceremony was held in the capital of Turkmenistan to inaugurate the Monument to the 30th Anniversary of Neutrality and to raise the flags on the square in front of it. The ceremony featured a speech by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov.

In his address, the head of the foreign policy department expressed deep gratitude to all the delegations that arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Forum of Peace and Trust, emphasizing that their presence reflects a shared commitment to the ideals of humanism and justice.

It is worth noting that the Forum holds special significance, as it is dedicated to several key dates and initiatives at once: the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly at Turkmenistan&rsquo;s initiative and unanimously supported by all UN member states; the International Day of Neutrality; and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Neutral Turkmenistan.

It is especially symbolic that the unveiling of this commemorative monument takes place in the year when the UN celebrates its 80th anniversary. The new complex is a tribute to many years of global efforts to promote peace, security, and cooperation. The monument reflects Turkmenistan&rsquo;s concept of neutrality, embodying friendship, mutual understanding, trust, unity, and solidarity.

&ldquo;The opening of the monument also symbolizes the historic path chosen by the country and the fundamental role of neutrality in shaping both domestic and foreign policy. Guided by this principled status, Turkmenistan implements national and international programs aimed at sustainable development, combating climate change, protecting human rights, and expanding multilateral cooperation,&rdquo; said Rashid Meredov.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that although the complex is located in Ashgabat, the capital of neutral Turkmenistan, its message extends far beyond national borders.

&ldquo;It is conceived as an open space for all peoples, a reminder that every nation has the right to peace, security, and development through dialogue rather than confrontation. In international practice, neutrality is often called a &lsquo;bridge of trust,&rsquo; a structure that unites rather than divides. Turkmenistan adheres to this very approach in its foreign policy, guided by the UN Charter, upholding the sovereignty of all states, and promoting a culture of peaceful cooperation,&rdquo; stated Rashid Meredov.

On December 11, the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of our country&rsquo;s Permanent Neutrality.

The head of our state noted that the participation of the President of Uzbekistan in the forum is a clear demonstration of the Uzbek side&rsquo;s support for Turkmenistan&rsquo;s policy of Neutrality. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in turn, emphasized that the festive forum in Turkmenistan holds great significance for strengthening peace in the region, and he warmly congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the 30th anniversary of Neutrality.

During the meeting, the parties highlighted the successful development of international cooperation between the two countries in political, trade-economic, and other areas. It was also stressed that the recent state visit has given new momentum to bilateral relations.
