The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, delivered a speech at the International Forum in Ashgabat dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent Neutrality.

In his address, Hero Arkadag emphasized the need for constructive mobilization of potential, political maturity, will, and principled commitment on the part of the entire international community. The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that all states, regardless of their political systems, size, or other factors, today bear responsibility for the future of our planet.

According to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the key mechanism for such unity is the potential of the United Nations.

Hero Arkadag stated that the capabilities of the UN must be utilized as the only international organization possessing universal legitimacy and a mandate. Cooperation on the platform of Peace and Trust presupposes the existence of recognized political and legal foundations, as well as clear and well-defined principles enshrined in the UN Charter&mdash;equality, mutual respect, and non-interference in sovereign affairs.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people stressed that adherence to these principles is the guarantee of preserving peace and predictability and provides an opportunity to rebuild the foundations of civilized communication with one another.

In addition, Hero Arkadag stated that people&rsquo;s diplomacy should become an important support for official diplomacy.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan emphasized that at present, in promoting the concept of Peace and Trust, alongside traditional diplomacy, it is necessary to engage inter-parliamentary channels of communication, as well as women&rsquo;s and youth diplomacy.

&ldquo;Our country is doing much in this regard. Over the past few years alone, Turkmenistan has hosted a number of major events of this orientation, including representative international and regional forums. At the same time, we proceed from the understanding that people&rsquo;s diplomacy can and should become an important support for official diplomacy, possessing additional levers of influence on political decision-making,&rdquo; said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also called on the distinguished audience of the forum to use the media exclusively for constructive purposes.

&ldquo;Information dialogue also plays a crucial role in establishing respectful and constructive interstate relations. We view it as an important component of our Peace and Trust initiative, as well as the global formula put forward by Turkmenistan several years ago: dialogue is a guarantee of peace. Mass media must be used exclusively for constructive purposes,&rdquo; stated the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty.

For these purposes, the National Leader of the Turkmen people highlighted the particular need to establish a reliable barrier against cybercrime and the dissemination of biased materials in the media space.

As is well known, every year on December 14 Turkmenistan solemnly celebrates the Day of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry and Geology. On this occasion, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, sent a congratulatory message to the country&rsquo;s oil workers, gas workers, and geologists.

The congratulatory message of the President of Turkmenistan states:

Thanks to the results of your devoted and purposeful work, great achievements are being attained in the oil and gas sector of our economy. Based on the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, on December 14, 2009, the Turkmenistan&ndash;China international gas pipeline was put into operation. This date, written in golden letters in the pages of history, acquired special significance as the Day of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry and Geology in our country. In accordance with the national and state programs adopted for the comprehensive development of our stable Motherland, during the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, large-scale work is being carried out to create major industrial complexes, gas transportation systems, and to develop promising oil and gas fields.

Among the achievements of the sector are the discovery of new oil and gas fields in various regions of our country, the operation of the Turkmenistan&ndash;China and East&ndash;West gas pipelines, as well as the implementation of the project of the Turkmenistan&ndash;Afghanistan&ndash;Pakistan&ndash;India international gas pipeline. In the Year of International Peace and Trust, the blessing given by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, for the construction of an important section of this project&mdash;the Serhetabat&ndash;Herat gas pipeline along the &ldquo;White Road of Arkadag&rdquo;&mdash;became another example of our commitment to ensuring the long-term development of countries and promoting sustainable growth in the region.

The Galkynysh gas field, discovered as a result of the dedicated exploration efforts of Turkmen geologists and occupying one of the leading positions in the world in terms of fuel resource reserves, has enormous economic significance for both our country and the region as a whole. The phased development of this field opens up new opportunities to expand the geography of exports of Turkmen natural gas to international markets. At present, the number of countries expressing interest in Turkmen energy resources is steadily increasing. World-renowned companies and international financial institutions are showing great interest in establishing cooperation with our country in this area and directing investments into it. The creation of a favorable investment environment for the effective development of licensed offshore blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea is also distinguished by its attractiveness.

In accordance with the &ldquo;Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022&ndash;2028&rdquo; and the &ldquo;National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022&ndash;2052 &lsquo;Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State,&rsquo;&rdquo; the implementation of comprehensive measures aimed at further increasing productivity in the country&rsquo;s oil and gas industry is envisaged. The successful development of oil and gas fields in our Motherland, which is extremely rich in natural resources, demonstrates the high pace of work being carried out in this sector. Ensuring compliance with environmental protection requirements during the development of fields, extraction, processing, and transportation of hydrocarbons, carrying out these activities in accordance with high environmental standards, and reducing their impact on climate change are among the most important tasks. I am firmly confident that the workers of the oil and gas industry and geology, mastering advanced global experience, will continue to make a worthy contribution to fulfilling Turkmenistan&rsquo;s obligations in this field.

Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan seeks to direct its natural resources not only toward national interests but also toward promoting the well-being of the peoples of the region and the world. According to the &ldquo;Programme for the Development of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Oil and Gas Industry until 2030&rdquo;, work is successfully continuing to expand production capacity, implement new technologies, and widely use digital systems. Innovative solutions are actively applied at oil and gas fields, increasing productivity. Great importance is attached to environmental protection, reduction of methane emissions, and contributing to addressing global climate challenges.

Turkmenistan actively participates in international environmental initiatives. At the UN COP28 Conference in Dubai, the country officially announced its accession to the Global Methane Pledge. This decision set new tasks for the oil and gas sector, and our specialists are diligently working toward these goals.

The newly discovered oil fields in the southwest of the country, the gas pipelines &ldquo;Turkmenistan&ndash;China&rdquo; and &ldquo;East&ndash;West&rdquo;, and the ongoing construction of the international TAPI gas pipeline are important milestones in Turkmenistan&rsquo;s energy history.

International Forum &ldquo;Turkmenistan Oil and Gas &mdash; OGT 2025&rdquo;: records and achievements

The 30th International Conference and Exhibition &ldquo;Turkmenistan Oil and Gas &mdash; OGT 2025&rdquo;, held in Ashgabat on 22&ndash;24 October 2025 under the slogan &ldquo;Energy. Innovation. Development.&rdquo; clearly demonstrated once again the international success of the country&rsquo;s energy industry.

The participation of more than 1,400 representatives from 70 countries reflects the high level of global confidence. Over 100 companies took part in the exhibition, which is a 45% increase compared to last year.

Speeches by leaders of global energy giants such as DEWA, ENOC, S&amp;P Global, IGU, BOTAŞ, and SOCAR elevated the prestige of the event even further.

The glory of international cooperation dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Neutrality

Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Permanent Neutrality, the forum once again demonstrated the solid foundation of international cooperation. The development of the Galkynysh field, the TAPI project, and the exploration of new offshore blocks in the Caspian Sea represent effective steps of this policy.

At the OGT Awards Gala ceremony, companies contributing to innovation and consistent cooperation were honored. It was also announced that preparations for OGT 2026 have begun, with priority directions such as artificial intelligence, hydrogen energy, and renewable energy to be highlighted at the next forum.

The Day of Oil and Gas Industry and Geology Workers is not only a professional holiday but also a shining reflection of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s energy development, international cooperation and economic prosperity.

The great holiday of the Oil and Gas industry — the glorious day of Turkmenistan’s energy development

Our people are celebrating with festive spirit the glorious 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality, as well as International Neutrality Day, which is marked by significant achievements across the country. One of the industrial giants that contributed its labor achievements in honor of this holiday is the State Concern &ldquo;Turkmennebit.&rdquo;

This concern, one of the largest industrial and economic associations in the country, carries out extensive work in the exploration and industrial development of oil and gas fields throughout our great homeland. The activities of the concern&rsquo;s production units in the Balkan region are particularly important in implementing the objectives set forth in the &ldquo;Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Industry Development Program until 2030.&rdquo;

According to experts, among the leading enterprises, the &ldquo;Nebitgazburawlayysh&rdquo; trust of the concern stands out. Recently, the trust&rsquo;s labor collectives successfully completed drilling three wells at the Uzynada field in the Caspian coastal zone and put them into operation, which became a significant labor contribution to the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality.

Wells 72 and 86 of the &ldquo;Goturdepe&rdquo; Drilling Operations Department produce 44 and 43 tons of gas condensate per day, respectively, much to the satisfaction of the specialists. In addition, well 87 of the &ldquo;Ekerem&rdquo; Drilling Operations Department at the Uzynada field, with a design depth of 6,800 meters, produces over 45 tons of gas condensate per day. After technical and commissioning work, these productive wells were handed over to the oil workers of the &ldquo;Gumdagnebit&rdquo; Department of the &ldquo;Nebitgazchykarish&rdquo; trust.

It is noteworthy that modern ZJ70DB drilling rigs, purchased from the People&rsquo;s Republic of China at the initiative of the esteemed President, were used in the drilling process. This significantly increased the volume of extracted valuable raw materials and had a strong positive impact on the performance of the industry. The high pace of work strengthens specialists&rsquo; confidence that even greater achievements will be reached in the future.

In a short period in the modern history of our beloved homeland, glorious pages have been written, and our neutral country has become a reliable partner and a center of peacemaking. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent neutrality and the International Day of Neutrality, a large-scale exhibition opened on December 11 at the country&rsquo;s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Its first visitors were numerous foreign guests and representatives of international organizations who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in various events dedicated to this significant date.

At the opening ceremony of the international exhibition, a Message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out to the participants of the exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent Neutrality.

Large-Scale exhibition opens in Ashgabat in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality

A solemn ceremony was held in the capital of Turkmenistan to inaugurate the Monument to the 30th Anniversary of Neutrality and to raise the flags on the square in front of it. The ceremony featured a speech by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov.

In his address, the head of the foreign policy department expressed deep gratitude to all the delegations that arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Forum of Peace and Trust, emphasizing that their presence reflects a shared commitment to the ideals of humanism and justice.

It is worth noting that the Forum holds special significance, as it is dedicated to several key dates and initiatives at once: the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly at Turkmenistan&rsquo;s initiative and unanimously supported by all UN member states; the International Day of Neutrality; and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Neutral Turkmenistan.

On November 10, the International Conference &ldquo;The Role of Women in Modern Society: Developing International Cooperation on the Path to Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals&rdquo; was held in the &ldquo;Avaza&rdquo; National Tourist Zone. The event was organized by the Government of Turkmenistan and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, in cooperation with the United Nations.

After the official group photo ceremony, participants of the International Conference toured an exhibition organized to mark this significant event in the life of the country. The exhibition showcased Turkmenistan&rsquo;s achievements and successes in foreign policy over the past 30 years.

Conference on the role of women in modern society held in “Avaza”

A large-scale exhibition of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s economic achievements, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country&rsquo;s permanent neutrality, will take place in Ashgabat on December 11 and 12.
