As part of his visit to Baku, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Chairperson of the National Parliament of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova.

Following introductions with the members of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan introduced the members of the Turkmen delegation.

Sahiba Gafarova informed the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Turkmen delegation about the work of the Azerbaijani Parliament and showed them exhibits at the Milli Majlis Museum.

Turkmenistan and Botswana discussed the development of bilateral relations

On July 16, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić-Radman. On July 16, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov departed on a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the capital&rsquo;s international airport, the Hero-Arkadag was seen off by senior officials of the country.

Shortly thereafter, the plane of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan landed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, which was decorated with the national flags of both countries.

The Hero-Arkadag of Turkmenistan Begins Visit to Azerbaijan

On July 14, 2025, in New York City, at the office of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, a signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqu&eacute; on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Rwanda took place.

Diplomatic relations have been established between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Rwanda

On July 15, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the People&#39;s Republic of China P. Durdyev held a meeting with the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AIIB Jin Liqun.

At the beginning of the meeting, Jin Liqun shared the bank&#39;s experience of interaction with Turkmenistan and expressed interest in further expanding cooperation. The head of the bank announced his intention to take part in the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone from August 4 to 8, 2025. On July 13, 2025, the 10th edition of the Children of the Commonwealth international cultural and educational forum was held in the National Children&#39;s Educational and Health Center &quot;Zubrenok&quot;, in which a delegation from Turkmenistan took part.

10th edition of the Children of the Commonwealth international cultural and educational forum was held in Minsk

On July 14, 2025, a two-week training course &ldquo;Caspian Sea &ndash; Sustainable Development and Management&rdquo; started in Ashgabat, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Oil and Gas Complex and the Caspian Sea Institute of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the International Ocean Institute (IOI).

The course participants include environmentalists, diplomats, border guards, oil industry specialists, hydrometeorologists, hydrographers, lawyers, economists, transport sector workers, representatives of the fishing industry and other relevant specialists from Turkmenistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, whose professional activities are related to various aspects of the Caspian region.

Training course "Caspian Sea - Sustainable Development and Management" started in Ashgabat

During the past week, 14 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. For foreign currency, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased base oil (produced by the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&rdquo; State Concern), liquefied gas, and sodium chloride (produced by the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhimi&yacute;a&rdquo; State Concern).

Additionally, for foreign currency, representatives of business circles from Serbia, the United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan purchased unrefined dried licorice root, dyed fabrics, men&rsquo;s shirts, and Portland cement. The total value of the transactions exceeded 1 million 471 thousand US dollars.

Domestic entrepreneurs purchased thick licorice root extract, base oil, aerated concrete blocks, cotton soapstock, and fatty acids from raw cotton for the domestic market. The total amount of these purchases exceeded 5 million 818 thousand manats.

14 Transactions Registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan Last Week

On July 13, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting of the State Organizing Committee dedicated to the preparations for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), scheduled to take place in the National Tourist Zone &ldquo;Awaza&rdquo; from August 4 to 8, 2025. During the meeting, organizational matters for the high-level international forum and accompanying events were discussed, the work completed so far was evaluated, and upcoming tasks were clarified.

Members of the Government, heads of ministries and departments participated in the meeting.

Addressing the participants, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that Turkmenistan&rsquo;s ministries and agencies are taking necessary measures in preparation for this significant international event.

It was noted that matters related to the Conference are being discussed comprehensively within the framework of meetings of the State Organizing Committee, in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the &ldquo;International Year of Peace and Trust&rdquo; and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s neutrality.

Hero-Arkadag highlighted that the UN General Assembly, during its 79th session on April 11, 2025, adopted a resolution to hold the Conference in Turkmenistan, co-sponsored by 57 countries.

Furthermore, on July 4, 2025, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution on the organization of the Third UN Conference on LLDCs, instructing that the Conference and its side events be held at a high level.

A draft Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations regarding the organization of the Conference was also developed and signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the upcoming Conference, jointly organized by Turkmenistan and the UN, will include a wide array of political, diplomatic, economic, cultural, and humanitarian events lasting five days.

It is expected that leaders of 32 countries, heads of governments, UN Secretary-General and Deputy Secretaries-General, as well as representatives from international organizations, legislative bodies, financial institutions, civil society, and the private sector, will participate.

The agenda includes: opening and closing ceremonies, five thematic high-level roundtables, seven high-level forums (South&ndash;South Cooperation, Parliamentary, Private Sector, Civil Society, Youth, Women Leaders, Connectivity), side events organized by participating countries and international bodies, exhibitions, Central Asian National Days with concerts, and an official banquet.

Hero-Arkadag identified necessary measures such as strict compliance with Presidential instructions, preparation of infrastructure and venues in Turkmenbashi, coordination with the UN Secretariat, forming the Turkmen delegation, planning exhibitions and cultural events, and assigning responsible ministries.

Special attention was given to hospitality arrangements, transport logistics (including ambulance readiness), food supply, medical services, and maintaining public order.

Hero-Arkadag stressed the importance of media coverage improvement and high-level organization of cultural events like the Friendship Concert and National Cuisine Festival.

Following the meeting, Hero-Arkadag inspected uniforms for volunteers, noting that they must be climate-appropriate, visually appealing, and of high quality. Suggestions were made to further refine uniforms for medical staff and service workers.

He also reviewed the design of shuttle buses to be used during the Conference, stressing that the visuals should reflect the spirit and historic significance of the event.

Preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries Discussed in Awaza

In the first half of the current year, Turkmenistan produced 38.9914 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 4.0915 million tons of oil.

These figures were announced at the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on July 11, where the results of the country&rsquo;s socio-economic development for the first half of 2025 were reviewed.

&ldquo;Significant achievements were recorded in key sectors. Natural gas production reached 38.9914 billion cubic meters, and oil output amounted to 4.0915 million tons. Diesel fuel production increased by 5.1 percent, gasoline by 2.8 percent, and fuel oil by 13.6 percent. Nearly 39 billion cubic meters of gas and over 4 million tons of oil produced in Turkmenistan in January–June

On July 12, in the Central Building of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s oil and gas complex, an industry meeting was held to review the results of the sector&rsquo;s enterprises for the first half of the current year &mdash; the International Year of Peace and Trust. During the meeting, participants discussed the tasks set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the oil and gas sector at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on July 11 via digital format, where the results of all economic sectors for the reporting period were reviewed.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov and was attended by State Minister &mdash; Chairman of the State Concern &ldquo;Turkmengaz&rdquo; Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Concern &ldquo;Turkmennebit&rdquo; Guvanch Agajanov, Chairman of the State Corporation &ldquo;Turkmengeology&rdquo; Gurbangeldi Garlyev, as well as heads of associations, departments, and enterprises of the complex, who presented reports on their work for the reporting period.

The speeches covered information on the extraction and processing of oil and natural gas, which are in high demand on the global markets, the discovery of new promising fields and deposits, intensification of operations at the &ldquo;Galkynysh&rdquo; gas field, acceleration of construction projects, effective development of international cooperation in key sectors of the national economy, ongoing strengthening of the raw material base of the oil and gas industry, execution of geological exploration using digital technologies, and timely implementation of works taking into account weather conditions, among other key directions.

Vice Premier Batyr Amanov emphasized the need for constant oversight of major projects being implemented in the country&rsquo;s oil and gas sector, timely execution of production plans, accelerated construction of the Serhetabat&ndash;Herat (TAPI) pipeline &mdash; also referred to as &quot;Arkadag&rsquo;s White Road&quot; &mdash; as well as the importance of organizing the summer holiday season at health resorts under the sector&rsquo;s jurisdiction and the regular professional development of personnel. In this regard, specific tasks were outlined for the &ldquo;Turkmengaz&rdquo; and &ldquo;Turkmennebit&rdquo; state concerns and the &ldquo;Turkmengeology&rdquo; state corporation.

The meeting was also attended by Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas Issues, Ashirguly Begliyev.

Industry meeting summarizes six months of work in Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector in 2025

On the morning of July 13, during his working visit to Balkan Province, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited a multifunctional sports complex and performed a set of physical exercises. He also took a bicycle ride along the Caspian Sea coast.

In recent years, the National Tourist Zone &ldquo;Awaza,&rdquo; established thanks to the consistent efforts of Hero-Arkadag, has transformed into a world-class resort with high potential. This beautiful and health-promoting coastal area offers modern services for recreation and wellness.

Cycling along the shore, Hero-Arkadag enjoyed the fresh air and the vast scenery. With the sunrise, a magnificent view appeared, resembling a unique work of art. Numerous social facilities, comfortable hotels, and green parks create architectural harmony. The ecological environment and the Awaza River further enhance the area&rsquo;s tourism potential.

Consequently, mass sports and physical activity have become a way of life in Turkmenistan, especially among the youth. Now the National Tourist Zone is lush with greenery. It provides all-year-round conditions for relaxation and health improvement, showing that public health is a key area of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s state policy under the President&rsquo;s leadership.

In the summer season, the seashore becomes a favorite leisure destination for citizens.

Hero-Arkadag Took a Bicycle Ride Along the Awaza Coast

On July 12, 2025, Vice President for Medical Affairs of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, O. Atabaeva, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan, Stanislav Chepurny.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for establishing cooperation between the Foundation and relevant organizations of Belarus in the field of child health protection and support.

The Ambassador presented a letter on behalf of the Chairperson of the Board of the Belarusian Children&rsquo;s Fund, Lyudmila Kondrashova, as well as a specially designed developmental kit for children.

O. Atabaeva expressed gratitude to the Belarusian side for the letter and the gift for the children, which was delivered to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children&#39;s Health and Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag.

The parties expressed hope for the further development of humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus.

Meeting at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship

The Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan has been abolished. The agencies subordinate to it &mdash; &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmendemir&yacute;ollary,&rdquo; &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenaragatnaşyk,&rdquo; and &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenawtoulaglary&rdquo; &mdash; ceased their activities. Based on them, the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, and the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan have been established, respectively. In addition, the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary&rdquo; and &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmendeňizder&yacute;a&yacute;ollary&rdquo; agencies have been renamed as the State Service &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary&rdquo; and the State Maritime and River Transport Service of Turkmenistan and placed under the authority of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

The relevant decree was signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 11, where the results of the work completed during the first six months of the current year were reviewed.

According to the document, the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary&rdquo; and &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmendeňizder&yacute;a&yacute;ollary&rdquo; agencies were renamed as the State Service &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary&rdquo; and the State Maritime and River Transport Service of Turkmenistan and were transferred to the jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

The Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, and the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan were identified as legal successors of the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmendemir&yacute;ollary,&rdquo; &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenaragatnaşyk,&rdquo; and &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenawtoulaglary&rdquo; agencies, respectively.

The decree also states that the Ministry of Railway Transport should have two deputy ministers, the Ministry of Communications &mdash; three deputy ministers, the Ministry of Motor Transport &mdash; two deputy ministers, the Chairman of the State Service &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary&rdquo; &mdash; two deputies, and the Chairman of the State Maritime and River Transport Service &mdash; two deputies.

The decree also requires that the Ministry of Railway Transport, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Motor Transport, the State Service &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary,&rdquo; and the State Maritime and River Transport Service, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, and the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan, within one month:

Prepare and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers draft regulations on the Ministry of Railway Transport, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Motor Transport, the State Service &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary,&rdquo; and the State Maritime and River Transport Service, including the structure of their central offices, staffing tables, and salary scales for their leadership.

This decree was adopted with the aim of further improving the management system of the country&rsquo;s transport and communication sectors.
