During the conversation, Ms. Kallas expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for providing a humanitarian corridor for citizens of the European Union countries returning from Iran to their host countries.

Telephone Conversation Held Between the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Lesotho

On July 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via digital system with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and provincial governors. The meeting addressed issues related to the country&rsquo;s agricultural sector and the ongoing regional activities.

The governors reported on the progress of ongoing seasonal agricultural work in the regions.

They also informed about the state of construction of cultural, social, and industrial facilities scheduled to be commissioned in the regions this year as part of the 2022&ndash;2028 Presidential Program for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and the National Rural Program.

President of Turkmenistan Held a Working Meeting via Digital System

On July 3, 2025, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation led by the Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC), Senator Ms. Sitara Ayaz, during which ways of developing inter-parliamentary relations between Turkmenistan and the IPC were discussed.

The article by a prominent Russian politician and statesman describes the uniqueness of Turkmen neutrality, emphasizing the undoubted value of the experience of its application for peacekeeping purposes both for the Central Asian region and in the global dimension.

The author states that Turkmenistan&rsquo;s ideas about equal and balanced interstate dialogue based on firm adherence to the fundamental goals and principles of the UN Charter are consonant with Russian approaches to international affairs.

New Issue of «Arkadagly Ýaşlar» Magazine Presented to Readers

On July 5, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. During the visit, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annammammedov, who oversees the construction sector and Ashgabat, reported on the ongoing construction projects in the country, following the President&rsquo;s instructions, and asked the Hero-Arkadag for relevant recommendations.

Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, large-scale reforms initiated by the Hero-Arkadag are being actively implemented, with special focus on the construction and reconstruction of sectoral facilities, including in the healthcare system.

Early in the morning, the Hero-Arkadag arrived in the southeastern part of Ashgabat, where Deputy PM Annammammedov reported on the pace of construction of medical institutions and the plans for new health centers.

The Deputy PM also appealed to Arkadag the Doctor for valuable advice on improving the country&rsquo;s healthcare institutions, the construction of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University hospital complex, and the training of highly qualified personnel.

He noted that the current work of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry does not meet the requirements of the time. The Hero-Arkadag&rsquo;s helicopter turned back toward the capital.

Transport capabilities in Ashgabat are expanding. Under the President&rsquo;s leadership, logistics systems are being modernized. New aircraft are being added to the fleet, demonstrating the growing demand for passenger and cargo transport.

Later, the Hero-Arkadag inspected advanced health centers in the south of the capital, which meet international standards and provide high-quality services. This confirms the successful implementation of the &ldquo;Saglyk&rdquo; program.

Construction and reconstruction must comply with international standards, and new technologies must be widely used. Durable and high-quality materials should be employed, and comfortable conditions should be created for healthcare workers &mdash; a key to ensuring high service quality.

Modern health centers in the northern part of the capital, such as those in the Choganly residential area, also meet international standards &mdash; a clear result of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s integrated healthcare development.

From the helicopter, the Hero-Arkadag inspected existing facilities, including newly opened ones and the Dental Center nearing completion. They blend harmoniously with the city&rsquo;s architecture and development plans.

He emphasized that social infrastructure projects must be implemented properly, and favorable living and working conditions must be created.

The helicopter made a final round over the northeastern part of the capital and landed.

This working visit and the Hero-Arkadag&rsquo;s recommendations will serve as an important impetus for the country&rsquo;s dynamic socio-economic progress.

At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on July 4, Deputy Chairman B. Amanov reported on modernization measures for the State Concern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmengaz.&rdquo;

It was reported that steps are being taken to develop the fuel and energy sector, including exploration and development of oil and gas fields using innovative technologies. To increase the accuracy of well data analysis, the Vice Premier proposed equipping the industry with modern types of geophysical equipment.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the effective work being carried out in the country to explore hydrocarbon reserves and approved the proposal to improve the concern&rsquo;s technical base, instructing that appropriate measures be taken.

State Concern “Türkmengaz” to Strengthen Its Technical Base With New Geophysical Equipment

On July 4, 2025, in the city of Khankendi, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov took part in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) &ldquo;New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future&rdquo;.

During the event, it was noted that the summit became a high-level platform for strengthening multilateral cooperation, coordinating efforts and developing agreed solutions aimed at ensuring sustainable, inclusive and balanced development.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov emphasized the importance of adopting a new program document, which is designed to define the goals and priorities of economic cooperation of the ECO member countries until 2035.

Turkmenistan confirmed its commitment to the principles of multilateral cooperation within the ECO, highlighting priority areas such as the creation of effective logistics routes, diversification of energy supply routes, development of green energy, elimination of barriers to trade development, attraction of investment and development of cooperation in the field of modern technologies and innovations.

In this context, it was proposed to consider the possibility of creating a mechanism for coordinating the energy policies of ECO member states to ensure reliable supplies of energy resources and strengthen the energy security of the region.

In order to further develop the transport and transit potential of the ECO, it was proposed to carry out work on the further integration of transport and logistics systems.

The advisability of intensifying direct contacts between business circles, including through the use of opportunities for cooperation between chambers of commerce and industry, was also noted.

In addition, the conviction was expressed that the intensification of cultural and humanitarian ties will strengthen the foundation for further integration and prosperity of the ECO region.

The participants of the event noted that the results of the Summit will contribute to further deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the ECO member states.

Turkmenistan delegation took part in the 17th ECO summit “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future”

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via the digital system on July 4, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on a proposal from the Asian Development Bank regarding Turkmenistan&rsquo;s participation in a regional project for the implementation of Phase II of the Integrated Trade Program until 2030 under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. The main objectives of the project include enhancing regional trade, digitalization, and the development of environmentally sustainable measures.

As part of this initiative, participation is also proposed in Subproject 1 &ldquo;Trade Policy&rdquo; and Subproject 2 &ldquo;Trade Facilitation.&rdquo;

In this regard, a relevant proposal was submitted for consideration by the Head of State.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan maintains productive relations with foreign countries as well as with international and regional financial and economic organizations and institutions. Approving the Asian Development Bank&#39;s proposal for Turkmenistan&rsquo;s participation in the respective CAREC Program project, the Head of State instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work in this direction.

Turkmenistan to Join Regional Project of the Asian Development Bank

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system on July 4, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, M. Chakiyev, reported on the measures being implemented in the context of developing the digital economy and introducing innovative technologies.

As reported, the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenaragatnaşyk&rdquo; agency is carrying out relevant work to exchange experience and enhance cooperation with specialized international organizations. Particular attention is being paid to interaction with the United Nations Development Programme. Exchange of experience at the international level, studying advanced practices, and training specialists in this field are also of great importance.

In this regard, the agency&#39;s head submitted an appropriate proposal for the President&rsquo;s consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the effective activities being undertaken to develop the digital economy, introduce innovative technologies, and train professional personnel in this area. Approving the proposal to establish cooperation between the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenaragatnaşyk&rdquo; agency and the relevant Academy of the Republic of Estonia, the Head of State instructed the agency&#39;s director to carry out the necessary work in this direction.

Cooperation to Be Established Between the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" Agency and the Relevant Academy of the Republic of Estonia

The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries will be held from August 4 to 8, 2025, in the National Tourist Zone &ldquo;Avaza.&rdquo; A corresponding decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system on July 4.

According to the document, the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and related events are to be held in an organized and high-level manner.

The decree was adopted in order to implement the foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan aimed at ensuring sustainable development, putting into practice the documents adopted at international and regional levels, and organizing the Third Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in cooperation with the United Nations.

President of Turkmenistan Signs Decree on Hosting the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries

On July 3, 2025, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the high level of political and diplomatic cooperation. The commitment to further deepening ties in all areas of mutual interest was confirmed.

The ministers expressed confidence that regular high-level meetings and consistent implementation of the agreements reached will contribute to the further deepening and expansion of Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the energy sector.

The strategic role of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan as key hubs of regional and international transport corridors was emphasized.

The heads of the foreign policy departments considered ways to diversify economic ties and increase mutual trade volumes, and also noted the importance of expanding contacts in the fields of culture, education, science and other social spheres.

Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan

On July 3, 2025, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, key aspects of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the trade-economic, energy, and transport and communications sectors. The importance of joint projects that contribute to the development of the two countries was emphasized.

In addition, the interlocutors spoke in favor of strengthening ties in culture, education and other social spheres.
